Has hollywod lost the plot?

Superman Is a good example of a bad story. I saw the movie, I actually enjoyed the scene where, Superman lost his powers and got his kicked like the coward he really is. Half the movie, he looked like a computer generated character (Ala Final Fantasy). How does any one believe, that if I would come to work with gles on, nobody would recognize me? C'mon!
