Most orchestras, when they hold auditions, have a required list of orchestral excerpts to play. Find out if this is the case, before we discuss flute solo literature that you might use. If this is a small, local, per-service orchestra, then call to find out what their requirements might be - it is possible that they do not operate iin the same manner as larger professional orchestras.
