Is it okay to wear my wedding gown for a vow renewal if I never wore it before?

My husband and I have been married for coming up on 5 years June 2011 and we are thinking about renewing our vows. I bought a dress but never got to wear it because we ended up getting married at the courthouse. I still have the dress, would it be weird to wear it for the vow renewal ceremony then change for the reception/party afterwards?
