Can a leaking water pump cause the timing chain to go out on my 1993 jeep grand cherokee?

It has a straight 6 cyl. It over heated and when taking it apart we noticed a few holes in the radiator. Replaced that. Put it all back together and had it running. It didn't overheat but after about 15 minutes it acted like it was running out of gas and it died. Put gas in it and it still won't start. Just turns over with no fire. But we noticed that it is still leaking. not the hoses.not the radiator. so now it won't start and it is leaking antifreeze.
